Thank you, Gwyneth!

Apparently my need to communicate is limited to status messages on facebook, because since I've been doing that I have had little need to write here. But Gwyneth Paltrow pulled me out of my one sentence declarations with her new website/newsletter: goop. It's full of her "helpful" ideas on how to get by in life, because she is a woman of culture and intelligence and we can all learn from her and her intimate circle of peers. And while that isn't what she said verbatim, it is close I promise you! The pretentiousness is so thick it is delightful. And in one newsletter (of COURSE I signed up for it, it's comedy gold!)she did mention that she was interested in all things of culture. This week she gives her gift giving ideas for everyone on your list. For the man in your life she offers up this suggestion which I realize is not as obviously ridiculous without a picture, but it's apparently no longer being sold (thanks a lot, Gwyneth!) so I couldn't find it. But just imagine a man purse/medical bag combo:

All I can say is it's clearly for a man over 75 or if under 75, a multimillionaire. I've never seen any dude carrying around a leather lady purse unless he was elderly or wearing an ascot or both, but then Gwynie and I travel in different circles. But never mind that, it's offered at a very reasonable $1,395! Check off the guy(s) in your life, just consult the newsletter for the rest of your list!
